Maine Cell Phone Recycling Law Goes Into Effect Tomorrow – January 1st
A state cell phone recycling law going into effect tomorrow forbids owners from tossing their old cellular phones in the trash. The new law also requires retailers to collect used cell phones at no charge for recycling.
The law’s sponsor, Representative Christopher Babbidge, says Maine becomes the third state after California and New York to enact a law. According to the letter of the law retailers must accept all used phones, even those that are broken or were sold by other companies.
The simple answer to cell phone recycling is, of course, CellForCash.com. No need to leave your living room. Not only will you be doing the right thing for the environment, you may put a little cash in you pocket to boot!
